Beauty & the Beast Daddy Daughter Date
When my husband and I were discussing babies and our future family, we predicted lots of little boys running around the house. Out of the 20-something grandchildren on his side of the family, there were only four girls, so we figured our odds of a daughter were low. Johnny was actually a bit nervous to have any daughters because he was use to hanging with all his brothers! As fate would have it though, we have one son and three daughters. Johnny has handled these girls like a champ, and they are all daddy’s girls.
We were sooo excited for the new Beauty and the Beast movie, so I knew we had to make it a grand daddy-daughter date! We mailed out invitations to Johnny’s best friends and their daughters and set the scene for a royal picnic. I love this picture of them all dressed up for the movie. Eighteen years ago these buddies went to prom together, and now they are taking their sweet girls on dates. Be still my heart!

I tried to keep with a red and yellow theme: strawberries, red applesauce, red velvet cake, and peanut and raspberry jam sandwiches. Can you see the little Chip cups that I placed around the table? I made three, just in case the guests wanted to take one home. I found the instructions to create Chip here.
Each girl also had a personalized rose to take to the movie theater. I loved making this a girly party!
The special Enchanted Rose was super easy to create. I simply cut out a paper plate for the bottom, and placed the rose upside down in the vase. The sides of the vase held up the rose. No glue required. A few weeks ago I found these old books at an estate sale. I love the smell of old books, and these engineering books from the 1930s were fun to read through. Plus, they make perfect props for a Belle party.

My little Belle princess. She loved doing her hair like Belle and getting ready for her date with Daddy.
Off to the movie theater to watch the new Beauty and the Beast!
I’m soo glad that our friends were able to join us for a magical daddy-daughter date. If you are planning a Beauty and the Beast party as well, I hope these ideas give you some inspiration! Enjoy!
